Japanese sterling silver Salt and Pepper shakers shaped as traditional Japanese Shinto temple or pagoda. They are a true pair,one has 8 holes and the other has 4. Not monogrammed or other hallmarks than visible on pics. Marked 'Sterling 950'. There is no silversmith or maker's mark. In a very good vintage condition with some natural patina easy to clean. The Takahata Fudo Temple is one of the tallest and most beautiful pagodas in Tokyo, is located in Hino, inside the Kongo-ji Temple. Unfortunately, the location is quite far from the zones frequented by tourists, but the entire complex is so beautiful that the most immediate comparison that comes to mind is the Senso-ji complex in Asakusa.
