Rare and Weird Victorian Taxidermy Jewelry Art created using Green Beetle Scarabs and Gold Metal, Genuine Antique 1900s Edwardian Period Religious Crucifix Pendant Necklace, Dark Goth Steampunk Accessories

Large and impressive crucifix made with a gold metal (untested) and seven natural green scarab beetles as accents or ornament. The cross is very interesting piece and actually very rare, a perfect gift for a collector of Victorian to Edwardian Jewelry and also for someone interested in Insect jewelry art. The pieces i saw in market are usually made with 9kt gold, but this one is untested and i dont really know the nature of the metal. These are not exactly Scarab Beetles, but rather, that they are Leaf Beetles in the family Chrysomelidae, possibly Tortoise Beetles of the kind called Desmonota Variolosa. One of the beetles has some damage but you need to really see carefully for noticing it. No markings found. Some tarnish and age marks on the metal. In good antique condition.
