Original, signed and stamped Royal Doulton water jug pitcher with pretty blue and orange lilies painted on a egg white background and ornate with gold accents and pattern. The mark dates it to between 1886 to 1891, Coronet added to mark the appointment of Henry Doulton as Potter to HRH The Prince of Wales. This is a rare piece in absolutely gorgeous condition with not visible sign of age and normal wear for its age and a tiny, tiny pencil-lead sized ding on the bottom ring. An excellent vase for a collector or a museum in need of XIX Century English pottery. 

Only 6" high, the jug is squat but wide, more than 6.5" across the bulbous bottom. The bottom not only carries the Doulton Burslem mark, but also has a3801 hand painted on the bottom and a dry stamp.
