Vintage 1940s Oaxaca Mayan Yalalag Crucifix Pendant in a Custom Handmade Chain Necklace, Mid Century Cross with Etruscan Crosslets Charms and a Brown Tiger Eyes Gemstone Accent, Ethnic Wedding Accessories from Latin America

Large and impressive Yalalag Oaxaca Crucifix with etruscan flowers and a tiger eyes cabochon at center. The Cross is handmade dating around 1940s and very into the mayan traditional wedding jewelry of South Mexico. The Chain is handmade piece, a true one of a kind, created for the cross. There is a stamp on the chain but it is impossible to read. The necklace and cross are made with silver but unknown grade or percentage (untested). Some yalalags have double line of crosslets and others have a single like usually ending on fishes charms. 

This yalalag cross is identical to others created in Taxco, Guerrero at end of 1940s. It is in very good vintage condition.
