This Antique Russian sterling silver engraved design kiddush cup beaker, IE Zakhoder dated in Kiev 1908- 1926. It is marked 84 equivalent to 875 silver and by the maker mark. It is in very good condition with only minor scratches and nicks consistent with use and age, and would make a wonderful addition to your collection. This small sterling silver cup is engraved with a decoration of buildings and flowers as well as a geometric pattern. This cup is most probably from an Ukraine hasidic community and used as a kiddush cup for a young boy after his bar mitzvah celebration. The cup is extremely cute and beautiful and it is a unique Judaica gift. The Cup is used for blessing wine or grape juice according to the jewish religious tradition. The beraja in use is "borei peri hagefen". The cup is in an antique condition as you can notice in pics.
