Vintage Rare Faience sauce dish bowl with straight handle, made by the esteemed French pottery HB Quimper. It is marked at the bottom with black hand painting: HB Quimper F.954 D.201 D.C. (the pattern artist's initials and also the type and pattern codes). The dish is made with glazed ceramic and has hand painted design featuring a peasant man inside and wreath of leaves around the outside. Each piece of Quimper ware is hand-painted by free hand (without the aid of stencils) including the signature beneath the piece - therefore every piece is unique. 

Very good condition. Does have small rough spot but is from firing process - not a chip.

Dimensions: 4.9 inches (12.5 cm) to outside handle, 3 inch (7.6 cm) inside bowl diameter, Stands 1.3 inches (3.3 cm).
