Universal Statuary Corp Asian Scholar Statue / Bookend. Single figurine of a writing and seated notary man. Chalkware is very heavy and has Black felt on bottom of statue. The color is more less like beige or off white with accents in a bronze tone. Marked Universal Statuary Corp, Chicago 22 @ 1958 5555. Universal Statuary Corp was started by Leo and Jack Lucchesi in 1930, the company was sold in 1980. 

Overall very good vintage condition with some small chips or flaws on the chalk. See photos for better idea of condition.
